Sometimes, it is nice to relax and unwind. To forget that there is a world around you, that there is a hurricane around the eye.


The obvious segue would be to continue from here to talk about the dangers of this approach. But for now, let's not.


Let's relax. Unwind. Let the stress drain out of us through our toenails until it congeals in our socks. That will leave a mess we'll need to deal with later, but for now, let's not.


Feels nice, doesn't it? To remove yourself from everything? Not to relax by playing a game, or by chatting, or by eating, but by simply *being*? The absence of action. Not inaction either, though.


To let the flow stream from your fingers into your keyboard, writing words you won't remember writing, that you'll run across one day on your hard drive and wonder, "Who wrote that? That doesn't sound like me."
